BT Coating I - Design objectives
The BT Coating I was created to meet the needs of manufacturers and the standards of environmental agencies. Objectives included:
BT Coating I - Size specification
- To create a high-speed production line coating system that’s completely automated
- To create a solvent-less production method using UV varnishes
- To provide an economical method of coating minimizing overspray
The BT Coating I can process parts measuring 56 mm by 90mm. It is completely automated and the parts are not touched from beginning to end.
BT Coating I - Production performance
Up to 4800 pieces can be processed per hour. Parts travel on trays that arrive on a conveyor before being transported robotically to the central dial, which rotates to move the parts around the module for processing.
BT Coating I - Key technologies
BT Coating 1 is always used in conjuncture with a Cleaning and pre-treatment Module. This prepares the parts for processing using different type of cleaning and activation:
- Goat brushes
- Active air ionizing
- Ostrich feathers
- Plasma treatment
- Flame treatment
The BT Coating I module itself includes:

- UV Varnishing station
- Quartz iR oven
- Cold cure UV lamps
- HD quality camera
With the use of high-solid UV varnish, VOC emissions are minimised. Thanks to the innovative spraying technology and the unique process the varnish consumption and the overspray are drastically reduced compared to traditional varnishing systems. Thanks to these features the BT Coating I is the most efficient and eco-friendly coating system today available on the market.
