While the equipment is in production the chamber is always maintaining high vacuum, even during loading and offloading of the items to be sputtered.

This technology was discovered with the optical disc market, in which Tapematic has been manufacturing equipment for more than 20 years to sputter discs in less than 2 seconds (including handling to and from the sputtering chamber).

The S8+ can be used to sputter a wide range of materials such as Aluminum, Gold, Silver, Chromium, Stainless Steel, Brass, Copper, Titanium and many others. The cost per piece will be drastically reduced because there is no need for operators to do the tasks of loading and offloading. Additionally the target’s consumption is optimized as sputtering is only allowed to apply the material directly to the area where it is required.

Cathodes for the Tapematic S8+ systems are entirely manufactured in house. According to the application the system is designed for, the magnetic field is adapted in order to achieve the best possible performance in terms of reflectivity uniformity, cycle time, and cost-per-parts optimization,
